Conservation Office and River Access Area

The Conservation Board was graciously donated this piece of property in 2000 and turned it into the office for the conservation department's employees and educational center. The property sits on 7.86 acres and the Nodaway river located right behind the building.

Office

The Conservation Office is located at 2039 Highway 71, Clarinda, IA. It is a public building that is there to provide education and information about conservation practices in Iowa. There are many displays available to help teach about native species that are both present currently in Iowa and those that have become extinct.

River Access

There is also a river access area located behind the office. This access gives people a chance to get up close and personal with an Iowa river and see the wildlife that depends on that river to survive.
