Pierce Creek Recreation Area
Pierce Creek Recreation Area was bought in 1979 by the conservation board. It is the largest park owned by the county coming in at approximately 361 acres! It has 2 campgrounds, approximately 7 miles of multi-use trails, approximately 62 acres of public hunting, a 30 acre lake with great fishing, and a boat ramp.

Camping
There are 2 campgrounds at Pierce Creek Recreation Area, one located on the north end of the park and one located on the west side of the park which is Equestrian Camping only.
North Campground

Sites 1-4 and 12-18 are electric and water

Sites 5-11 are primitive

Electric sites are $15 per night

Primitive sites are $6 per night

There is a shower building with restrooms in the campground

All campsites are first-come first-serve with a self-regristration kiosk located in the campground

Pierce Creek has a camping cabin that has 2 twin beds, small refrigerator, desk, and a/c unit. Water is available at the cabin. There is a fire-ring, charcoal grill, and picnic table available. This unit can be reserved for $30 per night. You must reserve a minimum of 14 days in advance. You can call the conservation office to reserve!
Equestrian Campground

There are corrals for your horses and an obstacle course at the campground for anyone to use.

* Each campsite has a picnic table and fire-ring. Electrical sites have 50/30/20 amp receptacales
Shelter
There are 3 shelters located at Pierce Creek Recreation Area. Shelter 1 is located at the entrance of the boat ramp area, Shelter 2 is located directly next to the boat ramp and Shelter 3 is located in the equestrian area. It costs $20 to reserve each shelter. Shelter 1 has a pit latrine for restrooms, picnic tables, a grill, water hydrant, and a playground. Shelter 2 has picnic tables and pit latrine for restrooms and is located right next to the lake. Shelter 3 is located in the equestrian area and has picnic tables, electricity, a grill, and a portable style restroom. Please call the office to reserve these shelters.
